Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has met with Comfort Emmanson, the passenger involved in the recent in-air incident onboard an Ibom Air flight from Uyo to Lagos.
Gatekeepers News reports that the meeting, held on Thursday, forms part of the ongoing investigation into the incident.
Michael Achimugu, NCAA’s Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, had earlier announced the engagement in a social media post, stating that Emmanson would attend with her lawyer.
In a separate post on X, Achimugu disclosed that NCAA officials also met with Julie Edwards and other Ibom Air crew members on Wednesday in Abuja as part of the probe.
He explained that the NCAA’s directorates of aviation security, operations, licensing and training standards, legal, and consumer protection were all involved in ensuring a thorough conclusion to the investigation.
NCAA had earlier, on August 13, announced plans to meet with Ibom Air representatives and eyewitnesses to review the circumstances surrounding the case. It also appealed to passengers to come forward with testimonies
