Liverpool defeated Arsenal 1-0 on Sunday in the English Premier League (EPL), thanks to a free-kick from Dominik Szoboszlai.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Hungarian midfielder scored the winner in the 83rd minute, curling the ball into the top corner during what had been a dull match until then.
Arsenal, missing injured star Bukayo Saka, suffered their first loss of the season, ending their 15-game unbeaten run away from home.
The first half offered little excitement despite both teams fielding strong line-ups. The game came alive after Hugo Ekitike’s goal for Liverpool was ruled out for offside, before Szoboszlai finally broke the deadlock.
The win means Liverpool remains the only Premier League team with a perfect record this season, winning all three of their matches.
It was also their first victory against Arsenal in seven games. The defending champions now sit top of the table with nine points.
Meanwhile, Manchester City lost 2-1 at Brighton despite taking the lead through Erling Haaland.
James Milner equalised from the penalty spot before Brajan Gruda grabbed an 89th-minute winner for the Seagulls, who have now beaten City at home two times in a row.
Nottingham Forest also suffered a heavy defeat, losing 3-0 at home to West Ham United after conceding all three goals in the last five minutes.
