Peter Obi Will Not Get Labour Party’s Ticket In 2027 — Arabambi

Internal crisis within the Labour Party (LP) took a new turn on Monday as the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Abayomi Arabambi, declared that former presidential candidate Peter Obi will not be given the LP’s ticket for the 2027 general elections.

Gatekeepers Newreports that Arabambi, while speaking on Channels Television’s Lunchtime Politics, said the party is prepared to move forward without Obi.

“We are going to do our 2027 without Peter Obi; he will not have our ticket,” Arabambi said.

He also criticized the party’s acting National Chairperson, Nenadi Usman, and activist Aisha Yesufu, accusing them of working closely with Obi to hijack the party’s structure.

“Our plan is to get rid of these elements — people who are just an epitome of political extremism. We don’t want them in Labour Party,” he stated.

Arabambi further challenged Obi to openly declare his exit from the party, accusing him of political double-dealing.
