60.26% Of Candidates Record Credit Pass In 2025 SSCE— NECO

National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the results of the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).

Gatekeepers News reports that speaking at a press conference in Minna, Niger State, on Wednesday, Ibrahim Wushishi, NECO’s registrar, said that 818,492 candidates, representing 60.26 percent of those who sat for the exam, obtained five credits and above, including Mathematics and English.

He added that 1,144,496 candidates, or 84.26 percent, secured five credits and above in all subjects, irrespective of Mathematics and English.

According to Wushishi, a total of 1,367,210 candidates registered for the exam; 685,514 males and 681,696 females. Out of this figure, 1,358,339 candidates eventually sat for the exam, comprising 680,292 males and 678,047 females. About 8,871 registered candidates, mostly males, did not sit for the exam.

The 2025 NECO SSCE took place between June 16 and July 25.
