The family of Audu Ogbeh, former minister of agriculture and ex-national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has announced that his burial will take place on September 26.
Gatekeepers News reports that Ogbeh, who passed away on August 9 at the age of 78, will be honoured with a week-long programme of funeral activities beginning September 22.
According to the family’s schedule, the rites will commence with a night of tributes and songs in Abuja on September 22, followed by a requiem mass on September 24 in the federal capital.
On September 25, his body will be conveyed to Benue state, where a joint valedictory session and state executive council meeting will be held, ahead of a wake-keep later that evening.
The final funeral mass is slated for September 26 at St. Francis Catholic Church, Otukpa, his hometown, after which a private interment will be conducted.
The ceremonies will conclude with a reception at Community Secondary School, Otukpa.
