Dr Tunji Olowolafe Unveils ICT Centre – Model Secondary School In Ekiti

Dr. Tunji Olowolafe has inaugurated two major educational projects in Ekiti State: the GOMTECH ICT Centre and the GOMCSS Model Secondary School, both located in Are-Ekiti.

Gatekeepers News reports that the GOMTECH ICT Centre, a 40-seater facility, is equipped with high-speed internet, 24-hour power supply, and modern security infrastructure.

According to Olowolafe, the centre is designed as a proof of concept for a broader plan to establish a network of ICT hubs across Nigeria and Africa.

The centre’s curriculum focuses on practical training in fields such as IT support, UX design, cybersecurity, data analytics, digital marketing, and project management.

Learners will also be introduced to emerging areas including artificial intelligence, blockchain, and quantum computing. To track impact, each student will be assigned a personalized email ID for continuous monitoring and support.

In addition, Olowolafe commissioned the GOMCSS Model Secondary School, which has been handed over to the Ekiti State Ministry of Education. The school features modern classrooms, high-speed internet, and sporting facilities, creating a complete learning environment.

Olowolafe noted that these initiatives are about more than technology. They are about equipping Nigerian youth with the skills and confidence to thrive in today’s economy and in the innovations that will shape the future.
