EPL: Martinelli Secures Late Draw For Arsenal Against Man City

Gabriel Martinelli struck in stoppage time to rescue a point for Arsenal in their 1-1 clash with Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Gunners controlled much of the game but struggled to finish chances, while Erling Haaland showed his sharpness by giving City the lead in the ninth minute.

The Norwegian forward latched onto Tijjani Reijnders’ through ball and calmly slotted past David Raya to make it 1-0.

Arsenal created openings, with William Saliba and Noni Madueke both going close, but they couldn’t find a breakthrough before halftime.

City, meanwhile, became defensive in the final stages, with Pep Guardiola even withdrawing Haaland for a midfielder.

The visitors’ resistance was finally broken deep into added time when Eberechi Eze lifted a pass over the top for Martinelli, who lobbed Gianluigi Donnarumma to level the score.
