Chairman of Edo State Local Government Service Commission, Rt. Hon. Kabiru Adjoto, has visited Owan West and Owan East Local Government Councils.
Gatekeepers News reports that the visit is part of a renewed effort to strengthen grassroots governance and advance Governor Monday Okpebholo’s SHINE agenda.
During the visit, Adjoto commended the chairmen of both councils for their strides in service delivery and commitment to people-oriented governance.
He encouraged local government workers to remain dedicated to their duties while stressing the need to build cordial relationships with community members to foster peace, cooperation, and sustainable development.
The chairman assured workers that their welfare remains a top priority for the governor, noting that prompt payment of salaries would continue to be guaranteed under the current administration.
Speaking on behalf of Owan West, the Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Mr. Yerumo Sunday, expressed gratitude to Governor Okpebholo for appointing Adjoto as chairman of the commission.
He described the appointment as a demonstration of visionary leadership, noting that Adjoto, fondly called Mr Speaker, is a tested and trusted political leader with the capacity to deliver effectively.
Sunday said, “I have known him for years. He is a leader with passion for service, and his political maturity is needed to strengthen the Edo State Local Government Service Commission.”
