Dangote Petroleum Refinery has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his intervention in settling the recent dispute between the refinery and Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN).
Gatekeepers News reports that in a statement on Sunday, the company also extended appreciation to the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA), as well as the ministers of labour, employment, and other senior government officials who helped resolve the issue.
The statement reads, “Dangote Refinery is grateful to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Tinubu, for his intervention through his ministers and senior officials, which led to the end of PENGASSAN’s disruptive actions against the refinery. We deeply appreciate their patriotism and national service.”
The company further thanked Nigerians for their support and encouragement throughout the crisis, assuring them of its continued commitment to national growth.
It added, “You gave us hope and strengthened our belief in the Nigerian people as the foundation of our enterprise. We remain committed to serving the nation faithfully and defending its economic interests against rent seekers and saboteurs.”
Dangote Refinery also commended its staff for maintaining steady operations during the period of industrial tension and reaffirmed its dedication to uninterrupted production of petroleum products.
