Osarobo Samson Blames Damagum For Prolonged PDP Crisis In Edo

A member of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, Osarobo Samson, has accused Ambassador Umar Damagum of being the major cause of the ongoing crisis within the party.

Gatekeepers News reports that according to Osarobo, the sworn affidavit released today by Damagum exposes the fact that he lacks the leadership qualities needed to resolve the PDP’s deep-rooted problems.

The PDP member added that the document also confirms that PDP currently has two recognised factions in Edo State.

He noted that the affidavit clearly shows the party’s convention might not hold as planned, as Damagum admitted that the National Secretary, National Organising Secretary, and National Legal Adviser are not with him.

Osarobo questioned how the acting chairman intends to organize the national convention without these key offices, which are constitutionally responsible for such duties.

He therefore urged members of the Edo PDP to take note that Ambassador Damagum is the cause of the current crisis in the party.
