Job Title: QA & QC Engineer
Location: Isolo, Lagos Nigeria. (On-site)
Role Overview
The QA & QC Engineer will be responsible for both Quality Assurance (QA) testing and validating software before release and Quality Control (QC) verifying stability, compliance, and performance in production environments.
You’ll work closely with developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to build automated and manual test frameworks, track issues, and maintain the overall health of Bankit’s digital ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Quality Assurance (QA)
• Design and execute manual and automated test cases to validate fintech applications and APIs.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing across web and mobile platforms.
• Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Trello, or Asana).
• Work closely with developers and product teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
• Participate in sprint planning and define test coverage for new features.
• Ensure compliance with internal QA standards and regulatory testing protocols (NDPR, CBN guidelines).
Quality Control (QC)
• Conduct pre-release and post-release quality control checks for new software updates and product features.
• Validate API connections and transaction processing accuracy for digital payments and banking operations.
• Monitor production systems to detect errors, inconsistencies, or failures in real time.
• Ensure data integrity, transaction traceability, and reconciliation accuracy in fintech products.
• Support internal audits and provide reports on system stability and compliance performance.
• Develop and update QA/QC documentation, including test cases, checklists, and SOPs.
• Recommend improvements to development and testing workflows to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications & Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 3–5 years of experience in QA/QC roles within fintech, digital banking, or financial services.
• Experience testing payment gateways, mobile banking apps, APIs, or core banking systems.
• Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Postman, Katalon Studio, JMeter).
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SDLC, STLC).
• Familiarity with SQL databases for data validation and query testing.
• Knowledge of CBN/NDPR compliance and digital security standards is an advantage.
