Nigerian music stars including Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido and Omah Lay have secured 2026 Grammy Nominations.
Gatekeepers News reports that the Recording Academy announced the full list of nominees on Friday.
Omah Lay earned a nomination in the Best African Music Performance category for his collaboration “With You” featuring Davido. The song competes with Burna Boy’s “Love,” Wizkid and Ayra Starr’s “Gimme Dat,” South Africa’s Tyla with “Push 2 Start,” and “Hope & Love” by Ugandan act Eddy Kenzo and Mehran Matin.
Burna Boy received an additional nod in the Best Global Music Album category for “Signs of Weakness,” placing him alongside iconic names such as Youssou N’Dour, Shakti, and Anoushka Shankar.
