Tax Accountant

Description:
- Are you a detail-oriented professional with strong tax expertise and a passion for financial accuracy?
- We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our team and ensure full compliance with tax regulations while optimizing tax processes and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE, etc.)
- Ensure full compliance with tax laws and stay updated on regulatory changes
- Liaise with tax authorities and manage tax audits, reconciliations, and investigations
- Maintain accurate tax records and documentation
- Advise management on tax planning strategies to minimize liabilities legally.
- Support financial reporting with accurate tax entries and analysis.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of a 2:2 Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- 2 – 3 years’ experience as a Tax and Audit Accountant (preferably in the oil servicing industry)
- Professional certification: ICAN or ACCA is required.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and processes (FIRS/LIRS)
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, SAP, QuickBooks)
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills
