Physical fight between popular comedian Mr Jollof and controversial social media personality VeryDarkMan went viral after the two were filmed exchanging blows aboard an airplane.
Gatekeepers News reports that the video shows the men, reportedly fellow passengers, in a heated fistfight while alarmed travellers attempted to separate them. Background voices can be heard pleading with the duo to stop.
This public confrontation marks the latest escalation in a long-running feud that began in 2024. The conflict started after VeryDarkMan alleged that Mr Jollof’s wife, Esinjemiyotan, used promiscuous means to secure her husband’s appointment as Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on New Media to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
VeryDarkMan also accused Esinjemiyotan of having an affair with an internet fraudster at a hotel in Delta State, claims she has strongly denied.
In response, Esinjemiyotan filed a N500 million defamation lawsuit against the social media activist. She is also seeking a court order compelling him to issue a public apology in at least two national newspapers and across his social media platforms. Additionally, she requested a perpetual injunction to prevent him from making further defamatory statements about her, directly or indirectly.
The incident aboard the plane has reignited public debate on social media, with users divided over the feud and its violent escalation.
