JUST IN: Tinubu Postpones South Africa – Angola Trips After Kebbi – Kwara Attacks

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has postponed his scheduled visits to South Africa and Angola.

Gatekeepers News reports that the development comes in response to recent security crises including the kidnapping of schoolgirls in Kebbi State and an assault on worshippers in the Eruku community of Kwara State.

According to a statement released on Wednesday by Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, the president made this decision after receiving an appeal from Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who asked for a reinforced security presence in the affected region.

Recall that the president had been scheduled to leave Abuja today for Johannesburg to take part in the 20th G20 Summit, before heading to Luanda for the 7th AU‑EU Summit.

This is a developing story…
