Eze Makes History With Sensational Hat-Trick In Derby Blowout

Eberechi Eze delivered a stunning performance as Arsenal defeated Tottenham 4–1 in Sunday’s north London derby.

Gatekeepers News reports that this marks only the fourth hat-trick ever scored in this rivalry and the first by an Arsenal player since 1978.

Leandro Trossard opened the scoring for the Gunners before Eze took over: his second goal came just 35 seconds after the break, and he completed his treble by curling home a composed finish in the 76th minute.   Manager Mikel Arteta praised Eze’s influence, saying he brings an aura to the team.

Eze has previously admitted that he rejected a move to Spurs in the summer before finally joining Arsenal. On Sunday, he reflected on the achievement with emotion.

He said of his second goal, “That was my favourite,” adding that he has worked hard to find himself in those decisive moments.  Describing the occasion as deeply personal, Eze credited his faith and family after the match.

The result moves Arsenal six points clear at the top of the Premier League, strengthening their bid for a long-awaited title.
