EFCC Releases Abubakar Malami

Former Attorney-General of the Federation (AGF), Abubakar Malami has confirmed that he has regained his freedom after responding to the invitation of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Gatekeepers News reports that in a post on X, he described the interaction with investigators as successful and noted that he has been asked to return for more discussions.

He said, “In line with my undertaking to keep Nigerians updated on my invitation by EFCC, I give glory to Allah for his divine intervention.”

“The engagement was successful and I am eventually released while on an appointment for further engagement as the truth relating to the fabricated allegations against me continue to unfold.”

His remarks came shortly after he acknowledged receiving the EFCC’s invitation, promising to appear as a law-abiding citizen committed to transparency.
