Four Killed In California Family‑Gathering Shooting

A mass shooting at a family gathering in Stockton, California, left four people dead and at least ten others injured.

Gatekeepers News reports that the tragedy occurred just before 6 p.m. local time inside a banquet hall on the 1900 block of Lucile Avenue, near a Dairy Queen, where dozens had gathered for what authorities said was a family celebration.

According to a spokesperson for the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office, the victims ranged from children to adults. Reports reveal that even a 9‑year‑old was among those shot.

Early signs suggest the attack may have been targeted, though motives remain unclear and no arrests have been made.

Eyewitnesses reported the hall erupted into chaos: panicked guests ran for shelter, some screaming, others trying to help wounded relatives.

Deputies responding to 911 calls found victims both inside the hall and in the parking lot nearby, and more than a dozen people had reportedly been struck.

Christina Fugazi, the city’s mayor, called the shooting “unacceptable,” adding that families should be together not at hospitals pleading for loved ones to survive.

Authorities from the sheriff’s office, local police departments, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are continuing to investigate.

They urged anyone with video footage, eyewitness accounts, or tips to come forward, and have appealed for calm as the community reels from the tragedy.
