Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund) has revealed that 788,947 students have now received support from the student loan programme, out of the 1,193,228 applications submitted since the platform opened.
Gatekeepers News reports that the agency shared this update on Sunday through data posted on its official social pages.
According to the figures, 3,367 applications were filed the previous day. Tuition payments have also been made to 262 tertiary institutions, bringing the total disbursed for fees to N82.34 billion as of November 12, 2025.
NELFund added that N58.53 billion has been paid directly to students as upkeep allowance. It noted that the overall amount released so far stands at N140.88 billion.
In another weekly report covering November 24 to 30, NELFund stated that 35,773 applications were fully completed within that week.
The update confirmed that total applications remain 1,193,228 and that 262 institutions and 788,947 students have benefited from both tuition and upkeep payments.
