Edo Assembly Summons Natasha Osawaru Over Misconduct In Viral Video With 2Baba

Edo House of Assembly has directed Natasha Osawaru, the lawmaker representing Egor constituency, to face its ethics and privileges committee within one week.

Gatekeepers News reports that this comes after several videos of her recent behaviour went viral online. The ethics committee is expected to present its findings to the assembly within two weeks.

The issue started after clips from an Instagram Live session hosted by Daddy Freeze surfaced online. In the video, 2Baba’s former managers, Kaka Igbokwe and Lori Tosan, accused Natasha of trying to take full control of the singer’s finances and career.

The argument became tense when 2Baba joined the live stream and firmly asked them to stop discussing his private matters.

Shortly after he spoke, a heated exchange between him and Osawaru could be heard off-camera. Another clip also showed her raising her voice at him inside a store in London.

During Tuesday’s sitting, Speaker Blessing Agbebaku said Osawaru’s recent behaviour drags the name of the house into the mud and noted that she had been trending on social media for negative reasons.

He stressed that members of the assembly must carry themselves with dignity. The speaker said, “Hon. Natasha Irobosa has been summoned to appear before the ethics and privileges committee of the assembly due to her recent conduct which has been trending online”

“This precious house with cerebral members has been dragged into the mud for too long. She has been trending negatively on the social media and television.”

“We want to let the public know that this house is a very decent house. We have responsible and intelligent members. The conduct of a member cannot drag the house into disrepute. We frown against it and we will not take it.”
