National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu has received a delegation from the United States Congress at his office in Abuja.
Gatekeepers News reports that the visit follows earlier high-level security discussions held in Washington last month.
The delegation was led by senior members of the U.S. House of Representatives, including Mario Díaz-Balart, Norma Torres, Scott Franklin, Juan Ciscomani, and Riley Moore.
Ribadu said Nigeria is prepared to strengthen its collaboration with the U.S. in counter-terrorism efforts, regional security, and the broader Nigeria–U.S. strategic partnership.
He noted that U.S. Ambassador Richard Mills was also present, highlighting the importance both countries place on the meeting.
According to Ribadu, the discussions centred on counter-terrorism cooperation, regional stability, and ways to reinforce security ties between Nigeria and the United States.
He added, “I’m optimistic this engagement will deepen trust, collaboration, and shared commitment to peace and security.”
