Tinubu In Borno: Says Zulum Is Doing A very A Good Job Of Caring For People

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has on Saturday lauded the Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Zulum, for his people oriented projects and his commitment to prioritizing citizens’ welfare.

Gatekeepers News reports that President Tinubu saluted the efforts of the governor and said governance is ” all about the people.”

President Tinubu who was on one- day State visit to Borno and to attend the wedding of Sadeeq , son of fomer Governor Ali Sheriff made the disclosure during the commissioning of projects executed by the Prof Zulum led- administration.

At the Ramat Square, where he commissioned a fleet of 620 fully electric vehicles, tricycles, and bikes, President Tinubu said the initiative will ease transportation challenges in rural and urban areas.

The president said: “I congratulate the governor and the people of Borno State for this transformation. Government is all about people, and Professor Zulum is doing a very good job of caring for people.”

The president highlighted the projects as tangible evidence of effective governance and a blueprint for holistic state development.

After commissioning the electric vehicles, tricycles, and bikes, the President’s motorcade drove to a nearby Mega School, newly built by Zulum’s administration, for its commissioning.

The commissioned schools include Mafoni Day Secondary School, Bola Ahmed Tinubu Government Day Secondary School, and Mafoni Primary School.

They are part of Governor Zulum’s ambitious 104 Mega School Initiative designed to drastically improve access to quality education and rebuild the sector after over a decade of insurgency.

Each of the facilities is equipped with modern classrooms, laboratories, libraries, sports facilities, and an administrative complex to create a conducive learning environment.

The president also commissioned the international terminal of the Muhammadu Buhari International Airport, Maiduguri, in preparation for the commencement of international operations.

Prof Zulum expressed gratitude for the federal government’s support and reiterated his administration’s commitment to rebuilding Borno’s infrastructure, economy, and human capital

Meanwhile, Borno State Commissioner for Education, Science , Innovation and Technology Hon Lawan Abba Wakilbe commended Prof Zulum for his deliberate efforts at boosting the education sector through increased funding and innovation drives aimed improving the quality of education and reduce the number of out -of -school children.

” The Bola Ahmed Tinubu Government Day Secondary School Mafoni is the 89th Mega schools commissioned out of the 104 schools built by the Zulum-led administration.

“‘Prof Zulum is deliberately providing access to quality education for all Borno children. We appeal to parents to send their kids to school to reap the benefits of our huge investment in education.” Hon. Wakilbe said.
