American tennis icon Venus Williams has married Italian actor Andrea Preti in a ceremony held in Florida over the weekend.
Gatekeepers News reports that the couple shared photos from the wedding on their respective social media pages, celebrating the occasion with heartfelt messages.
“Mr and Mrs Preti, a dream come true,” Venus wrote.
Andrea also expressed his joy, posting: “Mr and Mrs Preti, it’s a kind of magic my beautiful wife @venuswilliams.”
Venus looked radiant in a fitted white wedding gown featuring delicate lace detailing and intricate patterns, with a flowing silhouette that extended gracefully to the floor.
Andrea, on his part, appeared dashing in a sharp white tuxedo with contrasting black lapels, complemented by a black shirt and black bow tie.
Venus’ sister and fellow tennis legend, Serena Williams, also took to social media to celebrate the newlyweds.
“My sister’s keeper. Venus, where do I even begin? From backyard courts to the world stage, you’ve always led with grace, strength, and heart. Seeing you step into this next chapter so loved and radiant means everything to me. Forever proud to stand beside you,” Serena wrote.
Venus and Andrea were first linked in July 2024. Venus confirmed their engagement in July 2025 during a post-match interview. The couple had an earlier wedding ceremony in September in Italy but chose to hold a second celebration in Florida, United States.
Venus Williams is regarded as one of the most influential athletes in tennis history. She is a seven-time Grand Slam singles champion and a four-time Olympic gold medallist, celebrated for her powerful playing style and longevity at the top of the sport.
Beyond tennis, Venus is an entrepreneur, fashion designer and a leading advocate for gender equality and equal pay in sports.
