The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has forecast predominantly sunny and cloudy weather conditions across the country from Monday, December 29, to Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
Gatekeepers News reports that NiMet disclosed this in a weather outlook released on Sunday in Abuja.
According to the agency, the Central region is expected to experience sunny skies with a few patches of clouds during the morning hours, while predominantly sunny conditions with occasional cloud patches will persist in the afternoon and evening.
For the Southern region, NiMet said sunny skies with cloud patches are anticipated in the morning, with chances of isolated thunderstorms accompanied by light rainfall over parts of Lagos, Cross River, Akwa Ibom, southern Ondo and southern Edo states.
The agency added that isolated thunderstorms with light rainfall are expected later in the day over parts of Rivers, Bayelsa, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Edo, Delta, Ondo, Lagos, Oyo, Osun, Ogun, Imo, Abia and Anambra states.
In the North, NiMet forecast sunny skies during the morning, with sunny conditions expected to prevail throughout the afternoon and evening.
The agency advised motorists to exercise caution while driving due to possible reduced visibility and slippery road conditions.
NiMet also urged members of the public to plan outdoor activities and travel in line with prevailing weather conditions.
Airline operators were advised to obtain updated weather briefings from NiMet to ensure safe and efficient flight operations.
