Federal Legislator Brings Healthcare To The Doorstep Of Underserved Communities In Borno

A member of the Federal House of Representatives , Hon. Midala Usman Balami, on Tuesday announced plans to launch a mobile clinic in his federal constituency to cater for the health care needs of underserved communities.

Gatekeepers News reports that Hon. Balami who represent Askira- Uba/ Hawul federal constituency in Borno state said the free health care programme will commence on January 3rd 2026.

Hon. Balami made the announcement while speaking to journalists in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital.

The Federal lawmaker who is the only Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) member from Borno State said the initiative aims to bridge the healthcare gap in remote areas, and complement the efforts of Primary Healthcare Centres ( PHCs)

” Vehicles will be provided in Askira-Uba and Hawul to convey health workers to underserved communities.” Hon Balami side.

He added that motorcycles will also be provided for the local vigilante group to ensure security of lives and properties in hard – to – reach communities.

The PDP Federal lawmaker commended the efforts of the Borno State Governor, Prof Babagana Zulum for taking development to all parts of the state .

” The people of Borno State have never had it this good , the people of the state are witnessing fast track development under the able leadership of Governor Babagana Zulum ” Hon Balami said .
