The Management of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, has approved the postponement of students’ resumption and the commencement of academic activities.
Gatekeepers News reports that the decision, taken on behalf of the University Senate and led by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Mrs. Eunice Eboiserehimen Omonzejie, is to allow the institution complete ongoing renovation works on key student structures and facilities.
According to the management in a statement signed by Otunba Mike Ade Aladenika, the school’s PAR and Head, Information, Public Relations and Protocol, the upgrade is aimed at improving teaching, learning, and overall campus experience.
The University noted that a new resumption date will be announced in due course. Students currently occupying university hostels have been directed to vacate immediately to enable effective renovation works.
Following the development, the institution also announced the postponement of the 140th Inaugural Lecture earlier scheduled for Thursday, January 15, 2026, as well as the suspension of ongoing examinations. New dates for the lecture and the completion of the examinations will be communicated to students and other stakeholders.
The University appealed for the understanding and cooperation of students, parents, and guardians, urging students to comply with the revised arrangements and prepare for a productive academic session once activities resume.
Parents and guardians were also advised to ensure their wards are informed and comply with the updated resumption schedule.
