Kehinde Olaosebikan, former chairman of Oluyole LGA in Oyo State, has promised that the council will significantly increase its votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 elections.

Gatekeepers News reports that Olaosebikan made the declaration at an APC unity rally held in Olomi area of Ibadan, noting that the party is intensifying grassroots mobilisation to improve on its 2023 performance, when APC scored 14,891 votes in the council area, contributing to a total of 449,884 votes in the state.

Olaosebikan said, “Politics is local, and I want to say that in addition to the mammoth crowd you see here today, we are working assiduously to see that more eligible voters register, that more registered voters collect their voters’ cards and, most importantly, at the appropriate time, we will ensure that overwhelming numbers of voters cast their votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all the APC candidates in 2027.”

He added that party leaders and executives in Oluyole LGA are committed to strengthening the APC, saying respected political figures, community leaders, and traditional rulers in the area have aligned with the party.

Olaosebikan, convener of the PBAT-KO grassroots movement, said the group has been mobilising voters across all 229 polling units in the 10 wards of the council, including remote communities such as Gbaleasun village. The movement focuses on voter registration and APC membership drives to ensure maximum participation in future elections.

Speaking on party unity, Olaosebikan said the APC is now more cohesive and prepared for upcoming elections. He commended Waheed Akinleye, APC chairman in Oluyole, along with other party executives and leaders, for fostering local unity.

He also praised Senator Teslim Folarin, former Oyo South lawmaker, and other party leaders for organising the rally, adding that the massive turnout demonstrates growing support for the APC in the council.

Olaosebikan said, “APC is the main party in Oyo State, and in Oluyole, we are making it the only functional party.”
