Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has started the data capture exercise for all intending pilgrims preparing for the 2026 Hajj, with the exercise scheduled to end on or before February 8, 2026.

Gatekeepers News reports that the Board made this known in a statement dated January 15, 2026, signed by its Executive Secretary, Eranga Abdulkabir Muhammadkabir.

It called on all prospective pilgrims to promptly submit their international passports to ensure smooth and timely visa processing in line with regulations set by the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah.

The Board explained that participation in the data capture is compulsory for anyone intending to perform the 2026 Hajj, warning that failure to meet the deadline could affect an individual’s chances of being included in the pilgrimage.

It noted that early compliance will help prevent delays and documentation challenges, urging intending pilgrims to take the exercise seriously and avoid a last-minute rush.

The Edo State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board assured the public of its readiness to conduct a well-coordinated and orderly Hajj operation, while encouraging full cooperation with officials in charge of the process.

Intending pilgrims were also advised to contact the Board through its official contact lines or visit its office for additional information or clarification.
