Gatekeepers News reports that the match game ended goalless after regulation time at the Stade Mohammed V in Casablanca, with both teams failing to convert their chances. Nigeria later won 4–2 on penalties to secure third place.
Super Eagles goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali played a key role in the shootout, making important saves to deny Egypt. Ademola Lookman scored the decisive penalty that sealed the victory for Nigeria.
The match was keenly contested, with Egypt captain Mohamed Salah leading his side, while Nigeria relied on solid defending and discipline throughout the encounter.
Egypt settled for fourth place after missing out on a medal despite a determined performance.
