Popular TikTok personality Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, has revealed that he has gained admission to study law at a private university located in Lagos, marking a new phase in his personal and educational journey.
Gatekeepers News reports that the content creator made the announcement in a video that has since circulated widely on social media.
In the clip, Peller appeared visibly excited as he spoke about his admission, using the moment to respond to long-standing criticism about his level of education. He was also seen entering a building with a statue of justice positioned at the entrance, a symbol he linked to his new academic path.
Although he confirmed that the institution is a private university in Lagos, Peller did not disclose the name of the school. He suggested that his enrollment had changed how people should perceive him, insisting that he should no longer be ridiculed or taken lightly.
“Everyone has been criticising me for not being educated, as if I’m the first person who didn’t attend university. Now, all of you should leave social media, because I’m in school,” he said.
Emphasising his course of study, Peller added, “I’m now studying law, you can see it, right? You can’t mess with me anymore. I know the law.” His comments appeared directed at online critics who have often described him as unrefined or poorly educated because of his speech and content style.
Peller has, over time, attracted mixed reactions online, with supporters praising his rise through social media and critics questioning his conduct and communication skills. Earlier this month, he openly acknowledged his struggles with spoken English and said returning to school was part of his plan to improve himself.
His decision to pursue a law degree has since drawn varied reactions, with many seeing it as a deliberate move to address criticism and expand his career beyond social media entertainment.
