The Chairman of the APC E-Registration and Reconciliation Committee, Ambassador Baba Ahmad Jidda, on Friday appealed to party chieftains and stakeholders to fast’ track the ongoing electronic registration of members.

Gatekeepers News reports that Amb Jidda emphasized that a comprehensive and timely registration is not just a formality but a critical pillar for the party’s strength, unity, and electoral readiness ahead of future polls.

Amb Jidda, who was the former Nigeria Ambassador to China under the Gen. Muhammadu Buhari’s administration made this this known in a press statement he personally signed and made available to reporters in Maiduguri, the Borno State Capital.

While acknowledging the logistical bottlenecks—specifically the National Identification Number (NIN) requirement, which has slowed down registration in rural and hard-to-reach communities—Ambassador Jidda maintained that ” these challenges must not be allowed to dampen the momentum”

According to Amb Jidda, “Proactive Mobilization, by moving beyond traditional methods to reach every corner of the state; Ensuring a seamless flow of information between the committee and local units; and adopting locally driven solutions by engaging community leaders to bypass administrative red tape.”

Since the committee’s inauguration on Monday, January 26, 2026, Amb. Jidda has led a series of high-level strategic meetings aimed at ensuring no eligible member is left behind.

He specifically called on Senators, Members of the House of Representatives, and State Assembly members, Local Government Council Chairmen, Party Stalwarts: Key stakeholders across all Senatorial Zones and Federal Constituencies to take “full ownership” of the exercise”

To ease the burden on prospective registrants, the Committee has directed LGA Chairmen to liaise directly with the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC). “The goal is to facilitate on-site NIN enrollment, ensuring that administrative barriers do not disenfranchise willing party members.”

In a bid to encourage excellence, the Chairman announced that LGAs that demonstrate “commitment, innovation, and outstanding performance” in navigating these challenges will be duly recognized and rewarded.
