Nigeria recorded the highest number of applications for Grenada’s citizenship-by-investment programme in the fourth quarter of 2025, overtaking all other countries.
Gatekeepers News reports that, according to data released by Grenada’s Investment Migration Agency, the figures showed that Nigerians accounted for the largest share of applications submitted during the period, representing about 16 percent of the total year-to-date entries. This placed Nigeria ahead of China, Iraq, the United States, Pakistan, and several other countries that also featured prominently on the list of top applicant nations.
In the last three months of 2025 alone, Grenada received 128 new applications, while 161 cases were processed within the same timeframe. Out of these, 154 were approved and seven were declined. The authorities further disclosed that 99 individuals were granted citizenship in the fourth quarter, pushing the total number of new citizens approved in 2025 to 1,124.
Officials attributed the strong interest from Nigeria to growing demand for expanded global mobility, business opportunities, and access to visa-free travel destinations.
Grenada’s programme allows successful applicants to obtain citizenship through approved investments, including donations to the National Transformation Fund or investment in government-approved real estate projects. Beneficiaries enjoy visa-free or visa-on-arrival access to more than 140 countries, including the United Kingdom, China, and countries within the Schengen area.
The agency noted that applications during the quarter reflected a broader global trend of individuals and families seeking alternative citizenship options for economic security, travel flexibility, and long-term investment prospects. It added that improved processing efficiency and regulatory oversight have continued to boost confidence in the programme.
Grenada’s government reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining strict due diligence procedures to safeguard the credibility of the scheme, while ensuring that only qualified applicants are granted citizenship under the investment framework.
