REHACMA Urges Leadership Stability Ahead Of 2027 Polls

Young Nigerians operating under the Renewed Hope Agenda Continuity Marshals (REHACMA) have called for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, arguing that ongoing economic and structural reforms require continuity in leadership to yield full results.

Gatekeepers Newreports that speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Wednesday, REHACMA National Coordinator, Osawemwenhio Uwagboe, said stability and consistent policy direction are critical to consolidating the gains of the Renewed Hope Agenda.

“Today we stand here not just as members of one political party, but as young Nigerians from different political backgrounds who believe in one thing: Nigeria must move forward. Nigeria needs stability in leadership and continuity of progressive reforms. That is why REHACMA was formed,” Uwagboe said.

“For us, politics should not blind us to leadership that is working. We believe President Bola Ahmed Tinubu represents the experience, courage, and political capacity required to guide Nigeria through difficult reforms and long-term transformation.”

REHACMA National Youth Leader, Yusuf Ishaya, said his decision to align with the All Progressives Congress (APC) was influenced by what he described as visible progress under Tinubu’s administration.

“I have been a member of ADC, but I have decided to align with the APC because I have seen progress. He who sees progress should not sit by the side and wait to be told that it is progress,” Ishaya said.

Similarly, the group’s Women Leader, Fatima Lamisula, argued that Nigeria’s long-standing socio-economic challenges cannot be resolved within a single four-year term.

“We cannot fix this in just four years. Since someone is trying to fix it for us, and we have seen visible changes in three years, I believe we should give President Tinubu another chance to finish what he has started,” she said.

Also speaking, REHACMA North Central Coordinator, Jerry Gwom, cited specific reforms introduced by the administration.

“We can clearly see progress. The dollar has been floated, allowing anyone to access it. Fuel subsidy, which previously enriched particular Nigerians, is now open. Inclusiveness has improved, and youths feel carried along. We want this government to continue because power will eventually be handed to our generation,” Gwom stated.

The group maintained that leadership continuity would help sustain economic growth, deepen reforms and strengthen institutional stability ahead of the 2027 general election.
