A federal high court in Abuja has approved bail for Abubakar Malami, former attorney-general of the federation (AGF), along with his wife, Asabe Bashir, and their son, Abdulaziz Malami.
Gatekeepers News reports that delivering the ruling on Friday, Justice Joyce Abdulmalik ordered that each of the three defendants be granted bail in the sum of N200 million, with two sureties required to provide the same amount.
As part of the bail conditions, the court directed that one of the sureties must submit title documents for properties located in either Maitama or Asokoro in Abuja.
The judge also ordered the defendants to surrender their international passports to the court as part of the bail requirements.
