FG Declares Thursday – Friday Public Holidays For Eid-El-Fitr

Federal Government has declared Thursday and Friday as public holidays to mark the Eid-El-Fitr celebration.

Gatekeepers News reports that the announcement was made by the Ministry of Interior on behalf of the Federal Government, congratulating Muslims across the country for the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

The minister urged Nigerians to use the festive period to pray for peace, unity, and stability in the country. He also called on citizens to reflect the values of love, generosity, and tolerance associated with Islam.

Eid-El-Fitr marks the end of the Ramadan fast, a significant period in the Islamic calendar observed by Muslims worldwide. The government noted that the holiday is a time for spiritual renewal, charity, and strengthening bonds among families and communities.

Nigerians are expected to join in the celebrations while maintaining peace and adhering to public safety guidelines.
