Confederation of African Football (CAF) has overturned the result of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, stripping Senegal of the title and officially declaring Morocco champions after a dramatic ruling by its Appeal Committee.

Gatekeepers News reports that the decision reverses Senegal’s earlier 1–0 victory over Morocco, with CAF awarding the match as a 3–0 win in favour of the North African side following what it described as a forfeit.

The controversy stems from chaotic scenes during the final in Rabat, where Senegal players briefly walked off the pitch in protest over a disputed penalty decision and other officiating issues.

After reviewing Morocco’s appeal, CAF ruled that Senegal’s actions violated competition regulations, leading to the forfeiture of the match under its disciplinary code.

This is a developing story…
