Chukwuma Soludo has been sworn in for a second term as the governor of Anambra State.
Gatekeepers News reports that the the swearing-in ceremony took place on Tuesday in Awka, the state capital, marking the start of a new four-year tenure for the Governor.
Onyekachukwu Ibezim also took the oath of office for another term as deputy governor during the ceremony.
The event was attended by several high-profile dignitaries, including Vice-President Kashim Shettima, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, and former President Goodluck Jonathan, alongside political stakeholders and traditional rulers.
Soludo, who secured re-election in the November 2025 governorship poll with a wide margin, described his victory as a strong endorsement of his administration’s policies and programmes.
In his inaugural speech, the Governor assured residents of his commitment to delivering on campaign promises and called for unity across political lines, noting that the election period was over and it was time to focus on development.
He also expressed appreciation to the federal government, political supporters, and development partners for their support during his first term, pledging to build on existing achievements in the state.
