Senator Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole has sent warm Easter greetings to Nigerian Christians, calling for deep reflection on the enduring message of Christ.
Gatekeepers News reports that in a message released by his Chief of Staff Hon Victor Oshioke to mark this year’s Easter Celebrations, Oshiomhole urged the faithful to imbibe and demonstrate the virtues of love, humility, peaceful coexistence, piety, tolerance, and forgiveness—values which Christ preached and exemplified throughout His earthly ministry.
He noted that Easter is not only a time of joyful celebration after the solemn Lenten season, but also a moment for renewed commitment to Christ-like living in our daily interactions. According to him, “even in the face of prevailing global and national challenges, Christians must rise as examples of spiritual enlightenment, capable of addressing earthly issues through spiritual understanding, patience, and faith”.
“As we celebrate with joy the risen Christ”, Senator Oshiomhole emphasized the importance of sustained prayers for world peace and national unity. He called on Nigerians to remain steadfast in prayer, trusting that God hears and answers, and will grant the nation the grace to live peacefully as one people bound by a common destiny, irrespective of religious or cultural differences.
“In a time marked by flashpoints of natural and man-made crises around the world, I am optimistic that Nigeria will continue to witness progress and stability” Oshiomhole said.
He encouraged Christians to remain hopeful, united, and prayerful for a better, more peaceful and prosperous future for our country.
