Blessing Okoro Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, has returned to Instagram weeks after deactivating her account, deleting all posts related to her earlier breast cancer claim.
Gatekeepers News report that the controversy began in January when the influencer announced she had been diagnosed with cancer, sharing what she described as a medical report and appealing to the public for financial support.
However, Xinus Medical Diagnostics disputed the claim, alleging that the report had been altered. The facility stated that the original document belonged to another individual, identified as Deborah Mbara, and was issued in May 2025.
Earlier this month, Deborah Mbara, a makeup artist and cancer survivor, recounted how Blessing CEO allegedly came into possession of her medical report.
Following the revelations, Mbara’s family filed a petition with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, accusing the influencer of cyberbullying, forgery, and orchestrating a multi-million naira fundraising scheme. The petition claimed that she defrauded Nigerians of over ₦300 million by exploiting Mbara’s health condition.
The Nigerian Cancer Society also called for a thorough investigation, stating that it would collaborate with relevant authorities to ensure accountability.
Amid the backlash, Blessing CEO deactivated her Instagram account but has now returned to the platform. Checks show that all posts related to her cancer claims, including interviews, have been removed.
However, she retained a single documentary-style post encouraging women to carry out proper breast examinations.
