Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, former Katsina State Governor Aminu Bello Masari, Niger State Governor Umar Bago, Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal and Taraba State Governor Agbu Kefas on Thursday attended the inauguration of the national executive of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) Door-to-Door Movement in Abuja.

Gatekeepers News reports that the event brought together senior government officials, traditional rulers and stakeholders who reaffirmed support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration and its reform agenda.

The movement, founded by Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, said the inauguration marked the beginning of a renewed grassroots mobilisation campaign aimed at promoting civic participation and strengthening support for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda ahead of the 2027 general election. A documentary showcasing the group’s activities and expansion across the country was also screened during the ceremony.

Other dignitaries at the event included Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, former Niger Delta militant leader Asari Dokubo and APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda. President Bola Tinubu reportedly monitored the event from the Presidential Villa alongside the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu.

Speaking at the inauguration, Akpabio described the administration’s reforms as difficult but necessary for Nigeria’s long-term development, while Abbas defended the removal of fuel subsidy, exchange rate reforms and the new tax system, saying history would remember Tinubu for taking bold decisions in the country’s interest.

The Ooni of Ife also expressed optimism that the government’s policies were improving the economy, while other speakers urged Nigerians to remain united in support of the administration.
