Governor Ahmed Aliyu of Sokoto State has approved the redeployment of several commissioners, special advisers, senior special assistants and permanent secretaries in a fresh shake-up of his administration.
Gatekeepers News reports that according to a statement issued on Thursday by the Director General of Media and Publicity to the Governor, Abubakar Bawa, the changes take immediate effect.
Among the commissioners affected by the reshuffle, Hon. Balarabe Kadadi was moved from the Ministry of Culture to the Ministry of Youths and Sports, while Engr. Mustapha Kofar Marke was redeployed from the Ministry of Youths and Sports to the Ministry of Culture.
Dr. Bashir Achida was transferred from the Office of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Development, while Nura Shehu Tangaza was moved from the SSG’s Office to the Ministry of Environment.
The Governor also approved the posting of seven special advisers. Garba Moh’d S/Birni was assigned to Legislative Matters, Muhtari Bello Abdurrahman to Environmental Sanitation Matters, Shi’itu M. Bello to Corporate and Social Responsibility, Alhaji Tukur Sanyinna to Domestic Affairs, Alhaji Abdullahi Jabo to Economic Planning, Mamman Aliyu Salihu to the Department of Tourism, while Faruku Labbo was redeployed from Domestic Affairs to Political Matters.
Three senior special assistants were equally redeployed. Jimmai Bello Kware was posted to Women and Affirmative Action, Nana Mamman Nasarawa to Women Stakeholders Engagement, and Mr. Emmanuel Okereke to Resident Community Enlightenment.
The Governor also approved the redeployment of 11 permanent secretaries and an acting permanent secretary across various ministries and departments. The postings include Aliyu Ladan Isa to the Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Usman Arzika Bodinga to the Ministry of Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship, Isma’ila Ibrahim Binji to the Ministry of Higher Education, Buhari Umar to the Ministry of Budget and Economic Development, and Moh’d Bello Yusuf to the Department of Security.
Others affected are Aliyu Magaji to the Ministry of Special Duties, Abdullah B. Mohammed to the Ministry of Solid Minerals, Musa Mohammed to the Ministry of Transport, Sidi Almustapha to the Ministry of Youths and Sports, Hadiza Galadima to the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Jibril Sa’adu to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The state government noted that all the postings take immediate effect.
