Production Shift Leader

Description:

As the Production Shift Leader, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective execution of production plans while delivering products that meet the highest quality standards at the optimal cost. You will lead shift operations by coordinating people, processes, and production assets to maximize efficiency, minimize waste, and maintain compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.

You will be responsible for driving team performance, ensuring operational excellence, fostering continuous improvement, and developing the capabilities of frontline production teams to achieve business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate shift activities to ensure efficient execution of production plans and preventive maintenance schedules
  • Deliver shift KPIs, including Product Quality, Health & Safety, Service Level Excellence (SLE), Yield, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Material Waste targets
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of production reports, including SAP production confirmations, downtime reports, and emergency breakdown notification.
  • Organize and facilitate effective shift review meetings to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities
  • Lead, coach, and develop team members to build the capabilities required for high performance
  • Ensure full compliance with all quality, food safety, environmental, and health & safety requirements, including TCCQS, HACCP, and ISO standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve production processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Stop production immediately where there is objective evidence that products or packaging do not meet required quality standards

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Good understanding of bottling technology and production processes
  • Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures
  • Knowledge of Quality, Environment, Health & Safety standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Have a good understanding of SAP
  • Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and people management abilities
