Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have reportedly killed 26 terrorists and repelled an attack on Kadiya community in Kukawa Local Government Area of Borno State.
Gatekeepers News reports that the operation, which took place on Friday, involved coordinated ground and air operations by troops of Sector 3, Operation Hadin Kai and other components of the counter-insurgency operation.
According to reports, the terrorists attempted to attack the community but were confronted by the troops, who successfully thwarted the assault. During the operation, 26 terrorists were reportedly neutralised while 10 motorcycles belonging to the insurgents were destroyed.
Four soldiers sustained non-life-threatening injuries during the encounter and were evacuated for medical treatment, according to military sources.
The latest operation forms part of ongoing military efforts to counter terrorist activities in Borno and other parts of Nigeria’s North-East.
