IT Infrastructure Support Intern
Specifications:
- Full Time
- Required Qualifications: BA/BSC/HND
- Location: Lagos| Nigeria
Description:
- Assist in managing and maintaining on-premises and cloud infrastructure (e.g., servers, networks, storage).
- Support the setup and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
- Monitor system performance, uptime, and security, and respond to incidents or outages.
- Help automate repetitive tasks using scripting tools (e.g., Bash, Python).
- Support infrastructure as code (IaC) implementations using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Perform system upgrades, patches, and backups.
- Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
- Assist in enforcing security best practices, including access control and vulnerability management.
- Provide technical support for internal systems and infrastructure-related issues.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- HND or bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs).
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD, version control).
- Familiarity with Git and platforms like GitHub or GitLab.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with containerization tools such as Docker.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes or other orchestration tools.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
- Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
