Nigerian Grammy-winning singer Burna Boy has been announced as the headline performer for the halftime show at the 2026 NFL Paris Game, scheduled to take place on October 25 at the Stade de France.
Gatekeepers News reports that the game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New Orleans Saints will mark the first regular-season NFL fixture to be played in France. It is scheduled to begin at 2:30 p.m. Central European Summer Time (9:30 a.m. ET).
Burna Boy’s performance will see him return to the Stade de France, where he became the first African artiste to headline a solo concert in April 2025. The concert reportedly sold all 80,000 tickets at the venue.
Reacting to the announcement, Burna Boy described his return to the Paris stadium as significant, recalling his previous performance there.
“Paris gave me one of the biggest nights of my career, and to walk back into Stade de France for a moment like this means everything,” he said. He added that he would be representing African music and planned to deliver a memorable performance.
Tim Tubito, the NFL’s senior director of global game presentation, music and entertainment, said Burna Boy was selected because of the importance of the league’s first game in France and his connection with the city and African music.
The Paris performance is part of a record seven halftime shows planned across the NFL’s 2026 International Games, which span seven countries and four continents. Other announced performers include Ayra Starr for the London game, Ricky Martin and Pedro Sampaio for Rio de Janeiro, Cage The Elephant for Munich and The Warning for Mexico City.
Burna Boy’s halftime performance will be broadcast live in France on France Télévisions and beIN Sports, while L’Équipe will air the game later in the day.
The upcoming appearance adds to Burna Boy’s performances at major international sporting events. He previously performed at the UEFA Champions League final and NBA All-Star Game in 2023 and featured at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
