President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Lagos after spending about four weeks in Europe on a working vacation.
Gatekeepers News reports that Tinubu arrived at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, after departing Paris, France.
Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other dignitaries received the president at the airport.
Tinubu had left Nigeria on August 30 for a three-week working vacation, during which he spent time in London and Paris and held several official and business engagements.
His return comes ahead of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary on October 1.
The president is expected to participate in activities marking the anniversary, including a nationwide broadcast to Nigerians.
Tinubu is also expected to attend the premiere of a film on the late businessman and politician, Moshood Abiola, at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre in Lagos.
