Fleet Manager

Description:
- The Fleet Manager is responsible for planning, supervising and coordinating the fleet of company’s vehicles and drivers, ensuring feed, birds, eggs and farm products are delivered safely and on time, in compliance with established standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily fleet operations, including feed delivery. and the distribution of birds, eggs and other farm products.
- Plan and optimize routes and delivery schedules to reduce transit time and fuel costs.
- Schedule preventive maintenance, servicing and repairs to keep all vehicles roadworthy.
- Track and analyze fleet metrics such as fuel consumption, vample utilization and cost per kilometre.
- Use fleet tracking software to monitor vehicle location, driver behaviour and trip performance.
- Supervise drivers, enforce safe driving practices and apply vehicle biosecurity and disinfection protocols.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal transport regulations, licences and insurance requirements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- HND or Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Management, Business Administration or related field.
- Proven experience in fleet management and coordination.
- 5-7 years of proven work experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Advanced use of fleet tracking software.
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in data entry.
