Nigerian singer and politician, Olubankole Wellington aka Banky W, has announced that he is now a student as he pursues a Master’s degree in policy at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
Gatekeepers News reports that Banky W made the announcement through a post on his official Instagram post.
The singer who posted a video to show the world his experience, expressed a change in priorities.
He said, “I traded being a CEO for the opportunity to become a student… because sometimes you must relinquish.”
“I am currently pursuing a Master’s in Policy at Georgetown University in Washington, DC.”
“The journey of faith continues. Please wish me well.”
Banky W’s wife, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, and fans have since then flooded the comment section with congratulatory messages.
Adesua said “I just want everyone to know that my husband is a true efiko and has gotten A’s so far. I’m so proud.”
She added later “I just came back to say I am DEEPLY INSPIRED by you, and I’m not saying this cause I’m your wife. If I weren’t your wife, I’d be jealous of your wife. You are the exact kind of man that impresses me. My honourable.”
