Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa has extended her heartfelt condolences to veteran broadcaster and Publisher of Gatekeepers News, Sulaiman Aledeh, over the loss of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Alli Aledeh, who passed away at the age of 80.

Gatekeepers News reports that Dabiri-Erewa, in a statement released on Tuesday, expressed her deepest sympathy to Aledeh and his family, describing the deceased as a patriarch and a great loss to the family and the community.

She also prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and asked God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.

The statement, personally signed by the NiDCOM boss, reads: “This is to commiserate with you and other members of the Aledeh dynasty on the passage of your patriarch in Agbede, Etsako West Local Government Area of Edo State, Alhaji Ahmed Alli Aledeh (Namedi).

“Death as we know is the ultimate end of all mortals as stated in the Qur’an 3 verse 185 ‘All souls shall taste death…’, thus I urge you to accept the demise of Baba as an act of God.

“We, however, thank Allah for the impactful life he lived and the legacies he left behind for you and other members of the family.

“Even though Baba died at the ripe age of 80, the family and the community will definitely missed his words of wisdom and the spiritual guidance he was providing while alive.

“I pray unto Allah to be with the family and give you the patience and understanding to be able to continue his legacies left behind.

“May Allah forgive the shortcomings of Pa Aledeh and make him one of the inheritors of al-janah firdaus. Aamin.”
