Kanyinsola Ajayi and Favour Ashe who are making their debut at Olympic Games have, on Saturday qualified for the men’s 100m semi-finals at the ongoing 2024 Paris Olympics.
Gatekeepers News reports that Ajayi won Heat 5 in 10.02s, beating Olympics champion, Lamont Marcell Jacobs into second position at 10.05s.
Ghana’s Abdul-Rasheed Saminu came third in a time of 10.06s.
Ashe finished fourth in Heat 4, before Jamaica’s Oblique Seville, Japan’s Abdul Hakim Sani Brown, and Thailand’s Thurpool Bonboon. He managed to get into the semi-finals.
